Founder/President

Terri Rivera

Terri Rivera is a creative entrepreneur, event producer, and lifelong horror enthusiast. Through years of organizing themed events, immersive projects, and community-centered experiences, she witnessed firsthand how the horror community can foster connection, acceptance, and support.

Motivated by that spirit of community and a deep interest in mental health advocacy, Terri founded the Horror Community Foundation to transform that shared passion into a force for good. Through the foundation, she explores mental health and works to destigmatize therapy by using scenes from beloved horror films as conversation starters with mental health professionals and members of the horror community.

Her goal is to unite the community while creating a welcoming space for reflection, growth, and support, offering resources that encourage healing, resilience, and hope.

VP, Lead Facilitator Guy Man

Carlos Cabrera

Carlos Cabrera holds a master's degree in education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a strong advocate for mental health, he has completed extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) and has gained specialized experience working with individuals affected by trauma and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Carlos's academic background and professional training reflect his dedication to evidence-based practice and compassionate care. Outside of his work at a behavioral agency, mountain climbing, snowboarding, and downhill BMX are things that he has zero skill in. Carlos enjoys watching random movies-most often horror—playing video games, and spending quality time with his family.
